Anthony (Tony) Palmieri began his career as a camera trainee in New York. As a young teenager he had the rare opportunity to work on array of films such as “The Godfather” directed by Francis Ford Coppola. After a successful career as First AC and Camera Operator, Tony became a Director of Photography in 1992 and worked on a range of shows including “Murder One” for ABC, “E.R.” for Warner Bros., “Providence” for NBC, “Monk” for NBC Universal, and “Suburgatory” for ABC.
Recently, Palmieri was assigned on John Well’s latest hit “Shameless” on Showtime as a guest Director of Photography and has completed several pilots and T.V. Movies including “The Smart One” for Warner Bros., “SPY” for Disney Studios, and “Divide & Conquer” for Universal USA Network.
Currently, Palmieri is working as the Director of Photography in “Sin City Saints” with Executive Producer Mike Tollin and Director Bryan Gordon. ‘Sin City Saints’ is being shot entirely on location in Las Vegas.
Tony is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, Directors Guild of America, The Academy of Arts and Sciences, and The International Cinematographers Guild, I.A.T.S.E.

Tony is a regular guest speaker at the University of Southern California (USC) on the subject of Cinematography and has been a speaker at the Digital Video Expo.

He is a proud father of six children and resides in Southern California.
